Regional Magazine Generates Ad Sales With News Release

Boom! Magazine increased its advertising revenue by promoting its latest audited circulation numbers. "We had one media firm purchase an ad with us, plus a previous advertiser came back," Barbara Petty said. Boom! included both print and online circulation in the release and emphasized the importance of their CVC independent audit. They now include the audit in their media kit, and the CVC logo will be added to the magazine's 2009 media kit.

Boom! Magazine is a lifestyle publication targeted to ages 45 plus in the "Triangle" region of North Carolina: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. "When making presentations to potential new advertisers, the CVC audit is always mentioned as part of our pitch."
